Hi, I'm Medini Dumka, founder of Manomagga. The name Manomagga comes from mano (mind) and magga (path), the path of the mind. It's the idea at the heart of everything I do: that clarity comes not from external answers, but from learning to walk your own inner path with more awareness and intention.

I bring a strong academic foundation in psychology to my work as a life coach. I hold a BSc (Honours) in Psychology and an MSc in Applied Psychology, with a specialization in Industrial-Organisational and Management Psychology. I've also completed a Post Graduate Diploma in Counselling Psychology, which has given me a deeper understanding of how people think, process emotions, and move through change.

This academic grounding shapes the way I coach informed by real insight into human behavior and mindset, but focused entirely on what coaching is meant to do: help you gain clarity, set direction, and move forward in your life and goals.

WORK EXPERIENCE

My path to coaching has been shaped by hands-on work across counselling, psychology, and human behavior:

  • Psychological Counsellor, Rainbow Society for Differently Abled -Worked directly with individuals with intellectual and developmental disabilities, developing a deep, practical understanding of psychological, emotional, and behavioural needs.

  • Psychological Counsellor Human Unity Movement (HUM) -Counselled women at a Government Shelter Home in Lucknow, working closely with individuals from diverse socio-economic backgrounds navigating difficult life circumstances.

  • HR Experience, To-Let Globe - Gained exposure to organisational behavior and people-management practices, complementing my academic specialization in Industrial-Organisational Psychology.

  • Language Tutor, Self-employed - Over 5+ years delivering 3000+ lessons to a diverse, global student base, reflecting a long-standing commitment to teaching, communication, and helping people grow.

Together, this experience, across counselling, organisational psychology, and teaching, gives me a grounded, real-world understanding of human behavior that I bring directly into my coaching practice.

Please note: Manomagga offers life coaching, not therapy or clinical counselling. If you're navigating a mental health concern, I'd encourage you to seek support from a licensed therapist or counsellor.

The Story Behind Manomagga

Manomagga is a coined term made by two Pali roots joined together which is Mano and Magga.

There's an old Buddhist teaching I kept returning to long before I had any plans to build something of my own: the idea that suffering isn't something that happens to the mind ,it's something that happens in the mind, and that there is, quite literally, a way out of it. Not a shortcut. Not a hack. A path. The Buddha called it magga, one of the Four Noble Truths, the fourth one, the one that turns understanding into direction. It's the part of the teaching that stops being philosophy and starts being a way forward.

Mano is mind, not just thought, but the whole inner landscape: perception, emotion, the quiet running commentary we all carry. Put the two together and you get Manomagga, the path of the mind, or perhaps more truthfully, the path back to the mind. Back to clarity that was never really lost, just clouded over by noise, by urgency, by everyone else's expectations of who we should be.

I didn't choose this name because it sounded good on a logo. I chose it because it's the truest description I have of what happens in a coaching conversation. Nobody arrives at clarity by being told the answer. They arrive by being walked patiently, honestly ,back onto their own path. My job isn't to hand you a map of somewhere else. It's to help you find the one you're already standing on, and to walk it with a little more steadiness.

That's Manomagga. Not a destination. A path of the mind, back to itself.

Please note: Manomagga offers life coaching, not therapy or clinical counselling. If you're navigating a mental health concern, I'd encourage you to seek support from a licensed therapist or counsellor.
